Enable Cloudbeds Search Data for TakeUp

TakeUp now supports Cloudbeds search data, which gives earlier insight into guest demand by capturing booking-engine search behavior (not just completed reservations).

Note: This feature is optional and currently available in beta.

Who should enable this?

Cloudbeds customers who:

  • Use the Cloudbeds Booking Engine

  • Are comfortable enabling a small, non-disruptive customization

No workflow changes are required once enabled.

How to enable Cloudbeds search data

  1. Log into Cloudbeds

  2. Navigate to Account → Settings → Booking Engine

  3. Select the Customize tab

  4. Scroll to Embed Custom Code

  5. Paste the JavaScript snippet below into the JavaScript field

  6. Click Save

Once saved, TakeUp will begin receiving search-level signals automatically.

Note: You will not see historical search data, only data going forward.

JavaScript snippet

Paste the following snippet exactly as shown into the JavaScript field in Cloudbeds:

<script src="https://takeup-static-assets-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/cloudbeds/events/cloudbeds-events.min.js"></script>

Tip: Make sure the snippet is pasted into the JavaScript field (not HTML or CSS), and that you click Save after adding it.

What happens next?

  • No additional setup is required

  • Data begins flowing automatically after save

  • Search data will be visible on your TakeUp Dashboard
