Collaborate With AI

The Collaborate With AI feature allows you to provide feedback to TakeUp’s pricing system so it can learn your unique business preferences.

TakeUp already optimizes pricing based on guest price sensitivity and real-time market conditions. This feature gives you a way to guide the system when your business objectives differ from what the market alone suggests.

Over time, the AI learns from this feedback and blends it with its market insights.

Where to Find It

You can access Collaborate With AI directly from the Rate Management Calendar.

  • Navigate to the calendar
  • Hover over a date
  • Click Collaborate With AI

  • A sidebar will open where you can submit feedback

How to Provide Feedback

When you open the sidebar, you can:

  • Adjust expected pricing: Tell the AI how you believe rates should change.
    • Example:
      • Increase all rooms by $20. You can apply adjustments to:
        • All rooms
        • Specific room types
  • Select a reason: Choose a reason that explains your pricing expectation.
    • Example:
      • If you want rates to remain consistent across the weekend, you could select Day of Week and Rate Consistency.
  • Add optional notes: You can add additional context if helpful.
    • Example:
      • Friday should not be lower than Saturday because weekend stays typically begin Friday.

Optional: Nudge Rates

You can optionally Nudge rates when submitting feedback.

A nudge will:

  • Immediately push the rate in your preferred direction
  • Continue allowing TakeUp to adjust if market conditions change

This is useful if you want to test your idea while still allowing the AI to respond to demand.

How the AI Learns

Each time you provide feedback, the system records the pattern.

Over time, the AI begins to recognize preferences such as:

  • How you want weekends priced
  • How you position rates across days
  • Strategic pricing behaviors

The system blends this feedback with its understanding of guest willingness to pay.

Soft Beta Phase

At launch, Collaborate With AI is operating in feedback-only mode.

During this period:

  • Your feedback trains the AI
  • Pricing decisions are not yet directly influenced by feedback patterns

This allows the TakeUp team to monitor how the AI learns from customer input.

After the beta period, the AI will gradually begin incorporating feedback into pricing decisions.
